Throughout the year, practices are held three times a week to develop skills in pitching, hitting, and fielding. Experienced players work to hone their skills and try out new positions, while beginners are welcome to find their place on the field through drills, scrimmages, and other exercises. Practices are structured to ensure that we work together as a team to run cohesive plays, as well as provide time and attention to every player to improve individual aspects of their game.
We compete in the Southeast Division of the BUCS university baseball league, with games held every two to three weeks in Michaelmas and Hilary terms. Throughout the season, we work to qualify for the spring BUCS Baseball Championship. In the past 5 years, the team has placed in the top 5 on the National stage. Additionally, we hold an annual Varsity Match with Cambridge, and lead in wins 7-2 and counting.
